Contributions Analysis

Application Procedures

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: For grants up to $10,000, applicants should submit an original and seven copies of the following documents: a three page proposal describing the project, including timeframe (appendices should be limited); proposed budget; and proof of 501 (c)(3) status or other tax-exempt ruling letter. For grants up to $35,000, applicants should submit an original and seven copies of the following documents: a two page letter of inquiry describing the proposed project, including timeframe (appendices should be limited); proposed budget; and proof of 501 (c)(3) status or other tax-exempt ruling letter.

DEADLINES: June 30th for grants up to $35,000. By September 1st, the trustees will invite selected organizations to submit full proposals due November 15th. June 30th or November 15th for grants up to $10,000.

DECISION NOTIFICATION: Decisions will be announced by March 15th for grants up to $35,000. Successful organizations must wait two years before reapplication. For grants up to $10,000, decisions will be announced by September 1st and March 15th. Successful organizations must wait two years before reapplication for a grant up to $10,000 or before beginning application for a grant up to $35,000.

Restrictions

The foundation does not make grants to individuals, multi-year grants, nor grants for endowment purposes or building programs. Unless a small percentage of the total amount requested, normally the foundation does not make grants for childcare, pre-kindergarten, or after school programs nor for equipment including hardware, software, and books.
