Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine the degree of biodiversity  that exists in one’s everyday environment, in order to develop an understanding of how scientists classify organisms and to explain why biodiversity is important for living things.

Technology
Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine the application of Chaos Theory  that exists in one’s everyday environment, in order to develop an understanding of how Noneuclidean Geometry opens opportunity for new ways to view our mathematical world.

Genetics
Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine the application of Theoretical and Experimental Probability, reflections, and ratios and rates that exists in one’s everyday environment, in order to develop an understanding of how these concepts apply to the human genetics.

Population
The purpose of the investigation is to examine the application of populations that exists in one's everyday environment, in order to develop an understanding of how mathematics is a key component in the understanding of population dynamics.

Culture
Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine the application of statistical sampling, data collection, analysis, and representation  that exists in schooling and teenage lifestyles in Japan and the united States, in order to develop an understanding of how cultural differences and similarities exist.

Careers
Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine money management including numerical comparisons, percentages, inequalities, fixed and variable expense calculations in order to develop an understanding of how these concepts apply to budgeting a lifestyle for a specific career.

Timeline
Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine similarity, scale drawing, scale factor and conversion factor in order to develop an understanding of how these concepts apply to a timeline of evolutionary history.

Disease
Through the application of math concepts (listed above), the purpose of the investigation is to examine rates, matrices, histograms, line graphs, data analysis and data presentation in order to develop an understanding of how these concepts apply to a the effects of a specific disease.

Positive Futures Fair
Through the application of math concepts, the purpose of the investigation is to examine statistical analysis including data collection, data analysis, and data presentation, visual display (histograms, bar graphs, line graphs, pie graphs), similarity (scale factors and scale drawing) in order to develop an understanding of how these concepts apply to a positive future public relation campaign.

PI Day
Through the application of math concepts (listed above), the purpose of the investigation is to examine direct variation, the history of PI, circle circumference and arc length, area and sector area in order to develop an understanding of how these concepts apply to a the PI day project.
