  3. Allow time for in class writing
  4. Allow time for brief class presentations

  1. Use database to compile research notes
  2. Write essay using standard class formatting and citation guidelines

Outcome: Students will compile an in-depth research essay evaluating the impact of one African American leader.

Related Activities: Students may prepare brief class presentations that summarize the impact of the leader they researched.
