- Create a list of individuals for students to research. This list will vary based on the time period, place or era your students are studying
- Provide students with access to Gale Biography Resource Center database
- Copy directions and rubric for each student

- Read and take notes on assigned individual
- Locate or create photos for journal
- Create journal using standards on rubric
Outcome: Students will have an in-depth personal view of one significant individual in history and that person’s experiences.
Related Activities: Students may do a museum walk to view all journals or they may do a class presentation “in character” for the entire class.
